OZFORD

The goal of the piece is to provoke students to reflect on their true motivations for being at Stanford. The university is a symbol of accomplishment, opportunity, and wealth. However, it’s often easy to forget that the university itself is not a final destination - that it marks the beginning of a new journey and that the challenges and successes during that journey are all part of the process. By overlaying an image of the Yellow Brick Road and Emerald Palace from the Wizard of Oz atop the path leading to the chapel at the center of campus, we hoped to create a moment of reflection for viewers of what Stanford is and what it represents.
